Ordos wins national recognition for excellent business environment

The city of Ordos was awarded the titles of being a "Top 10 City for Business Environment in 2023" and "Business Environment Innovation Model City in 2023,” as announced at the 2023 Forum on Innovation and Development of International Business Environment in China Business Environment in Sanya, Hainan province, on Dec 20.

The forum was organized by Global Times, showcasing 11 cities and three development zones as typical examples of a favorable business environment.

Ordos has taken the lead nationwide with its unique mechanisms, innovative measures, and excellent services.

Since 2019, Ordos has been committed to creating a first-class business environment, benchmarking against the World Bank's Business Environment Assessment Indicators, China's Business Environment Evaluation Indicators, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region's Business Environment Evaluation Index System, and national benchmarks.

It has formulated five action plans to optimize its business environment.

Ordos has taken the lead in introducing legislation to improve its business environment, issuing a series of policies and measures such as the Ordos Administrative Services Regulations and Ordos Private Economy Promotion Regulations.

It has also introduced policies to support the development of industry clusters, accelerating the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries.

Furthermore, the city has established the Ordos Administrative Data Collaborative Approval Management Platform, reducing processing times by 87 percent and streamlining documents and procedures by over 45 percent.

To ensure effective supervision, Ordos has pioneered the establishment of a key supervision list system, implementing the use of intelligent supervision platforms in 37 industries.

This has led to the establishment of a comprehensive, multi-level, and three-dimensional intelligent supervision system.
