Tomb of the Han Dynasty Marquis of Haihun opens in Nanchang

On the morning of Dec 15, 2023, the National Archaeological Site Park of Nanchang Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220) Marquis of Haihun celebrated the comprehensive opening of Guodun Yuan.

Guodun Yuan, also known as Liu He’s tomb yard, serves as the resting place for Liu He (92 BC – 59 BC), the first generation of the Marquis of Haihun, along with some of his family members.

Unearthed from this site are over ten thousand sets of precious artifacts, including gold, jade, bronze, lacquerware, bamboo slips, wooden tablets and pottery, portraying a vivid picture of the Han Dynasty's political, economic, cultural, artistic, and scientific achievements.
