Jiangshan's pueraria lobata plantation and Kaihua county's sika deer breeding base in Quzhou, Zhejiang province have been listed as provincial traditional Chinese medicine health tourism demonstration bases, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism announced on Dec 11.
The 600-mu (40 hectares) pueraria lobata plantation is equipped with supporting facilities such as a pueraria lobata cultural exhibition hall, multimedia hall, and specialty product display center where visitors can watch promotional videos, experience the culture of pueraria lobata and polygonatum, and taste a variety of pueraria lobata and polygonatum products and local dishes.
In 2022, the plantation received a total of 60,000 visitors.
The sika deer breeding base has engaged in the specialized breeding of sika deer and deep processing of deer antler products since 2008 and has become one of the largest sika deer breeding bases in the province.
