An investment promotion conference for the Euro-Asia Economic Forum (EAEF) and its supporting expo was held in Wuhan, Hubei province on Dec 14.
Established in 2005, the forum is organized every two years. Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, serves as the permanent venue for the event.
The EAEF has become an essential platform for the national promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative, a critical window for Shaanxi's opening-up, and an effective carrier for constructing Xi'an as a national central city.
The Xi'an Expo Affairs Center (EAEF Secretariat), the Wuhan municipal bureau of commerce, and more than 100 political and business representatives from Wuhan's outstanding enterprises in the exhibition, foreign trade, and cross-border e-commerce sectors participated in the conference.
At the conference, Xi'an's increasingly prominent development advantages were introduced, focusing on geographical and policy advantages, industrial potential, innovation capacity, opening-up and the business environment.
Also, Xi'an's convention and exhibition industry, major exhibitions and excellent infrastructure were promoted.
In addition, the basic information of the EAEF and the 2024 series of activities, as well as the planning and concept promotion session, attracted great attention.
Many of the participants said they would enhance in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the two cities in various fields, to fully activate development momentum.
