North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region and Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region signed a framework agreement for energy cooperation in Beijing on Dec 12.
Inner Mongolia, as an important energy and strategic resource base in China, and Ningxia, known for its energy processing and conversion industries, as well as its strategic reserves, have already laid a strong foundation for cooperation in the energy sector.
According to the agreement, both sides will deepen and expand their cooperation in various areas, including carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, the green and low-carbon transformation of energy, ensuring energy security and supply, new power systems, large-scale wind and solar energy projects, and hydrogen energy storage.
Together, they will build a national energy strategic base, and exert joint efforts to promote the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.
