Jinan's top official meets Uzbekistan delegation

Liu Qiang, Party secretary of Jinan, met with Turdimov Erkinjon Akbotaevich, governor of Samarkand region, Uzbekistan, and Uzbek Ambassador to China Farhod Arziev, on Dec 12.

"In recent years, Jinan has seen a steady improvement in economy, population, and scientific and technological capability, and its ecological environment has continued to improve. This provides a solid foundation and vast opportunities for cooperation between our two sides. I hope that both parties can further expand friendly cooperation in industries, trade, culture, education, and other areas, and work together to create mutual benefit and win-win outcomes," Liu said.

Turdimov praised Jinan's achievements in economic and social development and expressed hope that both sides can seize this visit as an opportunity to continue leveraging their respective strengths, strengthen communication and exchange, and deepen practical cooperation in multiple fields.

Cai Xianjin, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People's Government, as well as Jinan municipal officials Li Guoqiang and Han Wei also attended the meeting.
