The 2023 Xi'an Satellite Application Conference opened in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Dec 12.
The two-day conference drew senior experts, scholars, well-known entrepreneurs, frontline researchers, and other professionals in the field of satellite application in China.
Through activities such as thematic reports, discussions and exchanges, they shared the latest technological trends and market prospects of the satellite application industry, and exchanged ideas on accelerating the path of innovation for the industry's future development.
The conference aimed to build a cooperative and communicative platform conducive to the high-quality development of the satellite application industry, creating a more favorable environment for the development of satellite applications.
At the opening ceremony, many innovative achievements in the field of satellite applications in Xi'an were released, including remote sensing cloud platforms and remote sensing big data intelligent processing and service platforms.
To showcase more such achievements, a 1,000-square-meter exhibition has been planned. More than 30 satellite application-related departments, universities, research institutions, and well-known companies display their latest technologies and products there.
As a research and development hub for communication satellite payloads, the birthplace of Beidou navigation satellites, and a pioneer in satellite telemetry and remote sensing technology, Xi'an has formed an entire industrial chain of spacecraft manufacturing, communication, navigation, remote sensing, and other satellite applications.
The satellite application industry, as one of the city's five emerging industries, receives key support and priority development.
