Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, attended the 2023 Online International Sister City Conference held in Oldenburg, Germany.
Xi'an established sister city relations with Oldenburg on Sept 11, 2017.
The conference attracted over 20 experts from more than 10 countries, including China, France, the Netherlands, and Austria.
During the conference, Li Zhengping from Xi'an No 89 Middle School presented on the topic of exploring digital teaching. He shared how the school managed to achieve the deep integration of information technology and education by building a digital campus in the era of big data.
He also discussed the challenges they faced and the methods they used to solve these challenges with other participants in the conference.
Shang Xiaobo, the project leader from Xi'an Urban Planning and Design Institute, focused on the theme of applying low-carbon means of transportation under the framework of urban renewal planning.
He talked about the transportation situation in the Xingfu Road area, and discussed the concept of sustainable development with people from various countries.
The conference provided a platform for cities around the world to exchange their experiences and ideas in various fields.
It not only enhanced the friendly ties between Xi'an and Oldenburg, but also promoted cooperation and development in areas such as education and urban planning.
