A snow sculpture dubbed "Longtengfushan" that marks the upcoming Year of the Dragon according to the Chinese zodiac was completed recently, serving as a highlight of the 36th China Harbin Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo.

According to staff at the expo, this dragon-shaped snow sculpture measures 16 meters in length, 9 meters in width, and 17 meters in height, using 2,200 cubic meters of snow.

Sixteen skilled snow sculptors spent seven days meticulously carving this creative masterpiece.

The inspiration for the sculpture centers on the Chinese dragon, aiming to convey such themes as harmony, dynamism, and prosperity in the Year of the Dragon.

The sculpture intends to bring an auspicious and festive atmosphere to visitors, enhancing the overall ambiance and attractiveness of the expo.

The snow sculpture has gained significant attention from netizens since the work on it began, ranking first among trending topics on Chinese new media platforms such as Weibo and Douyin. The excitement hasn't waned even after the sculpture's completion.
