Festival to promote art education concludes with a gala show

Sunshine Youth Art Festival, a monthlong event initiated by Beijing Municipal Education Commission, concluded in the capital city with a gala on Dec 10, featuring a diversity of performances staged by young students.

Since Nov 4, the event held 16 programs supported by about 50 art educational institutions in Beijing, aiming at promoting art education among youngsters.

Programs, such as live shows, workshops and exhibitions, took place in Beijing, catering to art lovers with different activities, including music, dance, theater, painting and photography.

During the gala, young performers brought shows of choral singing, dance, musical instruments performances and traditional Chinese operas.
