On Dec 11, the "China Ski Tourism Resort Competitiveness Index Report" was released in Changchun, the capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province. This report provides a clear basis for ski resort enterprises to enhance their market competitiveness in response to market demand.
Ski tourism resorts are the most influential market entities in developing the ice and snow economy. In building the competitiveness index system, the report addresses the issues of homogeneity, seasonality, and the need for more innovation in ski tourism resort operation models.
Drawing upon theories such as enterprise competitiveness, resource foundation and dynamic capability, social capital, service quality, customer perception and loyalty, and the ice and snow tourism economic model, the report constructs a three-dimensional and multi-level evaluation index system for enterprise competitiveness.
Relying on the development of the ice and snow tourism industry, in the post-Winter Olympics era, China will focus on the ice and snow resources of the "Three North" regions: Northeast, North, and Northwest China.
The aim is to promote the sustainable development and growth of the ice and snow tourism service industry, nurture distinctive ice and snow cultural brands, innovate the ice and snow tourism product system, expand the ice and snow industry chain, further increase domestic demand, promote new ice and snow consumption, and accelerate consumption upgrading.
