IC industry takes off in Lin-gang Special Area

The 2023 International Semiconductor Summit Forum recently took place in the Lin-gang Special Area, Shanghai.
The event was attended by more than 1,000 people.
Wu Xiaohua, vice director of the Lin-gang Special Area Administration, said during the forum that the combined investment of integrated circuit projects in the area since 2019 has totaled 250 billion yuan ($3.5 billion), and that 230 enterprises have gathered in Lin-gang.
The scale of high-quality chip manufacturing in Lin-gang Special Area is currently the largest in China.
The area is presently home to over 40 influential domestic equipment manufacturing enterprises, including Cmsemicon and Kingsemi.
