The number of China-Europe freight trains arriving at and departing from the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone in Qingdao, a coastal city in China's eastern Shandong province, increased by 16.5 percent in the first 11 months, according to the Qingdao Customs.
Statistics show that 814 China-Europe freight trains arrived and departed from the demonstration zone, a year-on-year increase of 16.5 percent, in the first 11 months of this year.
Nearly 67,000 TEUs were shipped during this period.
Since the launch of the demonstration zone in June 2018, Qingdao Customs has registered 3,200 China-Europe freight trains that have transported 262,000 TEUs of goods.
