Quzhou's agricultural products enjoyed strong popularity at the Zhejiang Agriculture Expo, which opened on Dec 7 at the Hangzhou International Expo Center and will run for five days.
The expo has nearly 1,700 exhibitors and showcases 14,000 kinds of agricultural products, making it the largest in history.
A total of 52 enterprises in Quzhou are participating in the expo, displaying and selling more than 40 kinds of agricultural and sideline products, more than 200 high-quality products, and a number of unique snacks.
In the past two years, Quzhou has been focusing on developing the grapefruit, camellia and tea industries, with the output value of the entire industrial chains reaching 4.5 billion yuan ($629.64 million), 3 billion yuan and 4 billion yuan, respectively.
People at the expo showed interest in the Quzhou flavor and the high quality of the products. Many of them were old customers who have been buying Quzhou products for years. Some of them were Quzhou natives who missed the taste of their hometown. Some were new customers who were curious about the Quzhou specialties.
Quzhou merchants participating in the exhibition, in addition to selling products, also focused on brand promotion. Xu Xiaoqiang, the person in charge of Zhejiang Zaochun Agricultural Development Co Ltd, patiently explained the benefits of Chenpi at the expo. Quzhou's Chenpi is of high quality, but it could be more popular. He believes that through continuous promotion, the brand's reputation will improve.
