Ordos among China's first batch of carbon peaking pilot cities

The National Development and Reform Commission on Dec 6 released its first batch of Carbon Peaking Pilot Cities and Parks, confirming 25 cities and 10 industrial parks for inclusion, with Ordos among them.

According to the requirements of the commission, each pilot city and industrial park should regard the construction of carbon peaking pilots as a crucial approach to promote the comprehensive green transformation of the region's economic and social development. They should coordinate key tasks, study and introduce reform measures, and solidly advance major projects.

Each pilot city and park must follow the deployment requirements of the "National Carbon Peaking Pilot Construction Plan" and the "Carbon Peaking Pilot Implementation Plan Compilation Guide," combining their own realities to scientifically formulate pilot implementation plans.
