Major project breaks ground in Hefei high-tech zone

High-tech manufacturer Anhui Chunyuan Coating Technology Co – based in the Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province – recently started construction of its pure ion vacuum nano coating equipment and production line.

The company is engaged in the design, R&D, manufacturing, sales and coating production services for vacuum coating equipment.

The project will occupy a site covering 74 mu (4.9 hectares) and have a total construction area of about 94,000 square meters. Contractors will build nine individual buildings, with the first phase of construction involving four buildings and their related facilities – requiring an investment of about 500 million yuan ($70 million), under the construction plan.

The production will supply high-end sectors – such as the precision machining, consumer electronics, automotive, optics and aerospace industries.

The estimated completion date and production start is scheduled for 2024. The project is forecast to generate tax revenues of not less than 45 million yuan in 2024 and 65 million yuan in 2025.

It's expected that it will not only promote the development of the local high-tech industry, but also contribute to the advancement of various high-end sectors.

Moreover, it's seen as playing a significant role in enhancing the city's manufacturing capacity and attracting investments in cutting-edge technologies.
