Delegation from Windhoek, Namibia visits Jinan

Four representatives from the electric power department in Windhoek, Namibia visited Jinan to explore cooperation in the field of power equipment on Dec 4.

During their visit in Jinan, the delegation visited the transformer, winding, distribution, and equipment maintenance workshops at Shandong Power Equipment Company (SPECO) and held discussions with company representatives.

Representatives of SPECO introduced their main businesses and cooperative projects located both at home and abroad.

The delegation said that there is a significant demand for power-related services in Namibia and pledged to maintain close contact with the company to strengthen communication and cooperation.

Windhoek and Jinan signed a letter of intention to establish friendly cooperation in 2015.

Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, is the political, economic, and cultural center of the country, as well as a transportation hub. It is well-known for being a livestock hub that produces high quality Karakul lamb skins. The city also has mature textile and food processing industries.
