Intl freight train links Russia, Xi'an and Thailand

The X9592 train left Xi'anGuogang Railway Stationin Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Dec 3, loaded with 50 containers of chemical products.

The goods were shipped from Sarepta in Russia and arrived via the China-Europe freight train at Xi'an Guogang Railway Station.

They were transferred to the X9592 train, heading to Beibu Gulf Port. After a five-day sea voyage, the goods will arrive at Laem Chabang Port in Thailand. This route will save seven to eight days of transportation time compared to traditional routes.

This marks the opening of the first interconnection train from Sarepta, Russia, to Xi'an, Beibu Gulf Port, and Laem Chabang. It is the latest achievement of the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) in effectively connecting to the New Western Land-Sea Corridor.

This has created a fast and convenient international logistics channel connecting Southeast Asian countries, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
