A report on Tai'an city's cultural and tourism integrated development index was officially released on Dec 3 during the 2023 Boao Forum for Entrepreneurs.
The forum is being held from Dec 2 to 5.
The index shows that the city's cultural and tourism integrated development index hit 128.62 points in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 6.31 percent, a sign of its strong development resilience and comprehensive strength.
The index, which includes three primary indicators, eight secondary indicators, and 19 tertiary indicators, evaluates the city from three perspectives: the native power of cultural tourism integration, the driving force of cultural tourism integration, and the output power of cultural tourism integration.
As of 2022, Tai'an had 12 national-level, 59 provincial-level, and 487 municipal-level intangible cultural heritage projects.
Tai'an also showcased and promoted tourism products featuring local characteristics such as Tai'an jade during the forum. Various scenic spots, hotels and guesthouses, tourism products, specialty food, and night tourism were also introduced to guests.
