WIKA Instrument launches new project in SND

The second phase of the WIKA Suzhou invested by WIKA Instrument, LP was launched in Suzhou New District, East China's Jiangsu province, on Nov 29.

The new phase will build multiple product lines including those for semiconductor ultra-high pure pressure gauges. It will also be constructed into the functional headquarters, production base and R&D center of WIKA Instrument in the Asia Pacific region.

Alexander Wiegand, CEO of WIKA Instrument, noted that the company is confident in cooperating with the SND and will bring more projects to the district to contribute to its modern industrial system.

WIKA Instrument, LP, based in Germany, is the leading global manufacturer of pressure and temperature measurement instrumentation. Established in 1997, WIKA Instrumentation (Suzhou) Co Ltd mainly produces and sells thermometers and pressure meters.

In recent years, overseas multinationals have remained optimistic about the development of the SND with Siemens Electrical Products setting up its Chinese and East Asian headquarters and HL Mando operating its software center. Currently, the SND is home to nearly 2,000 foreign-invested businesses, including nearly 100 German companies, which are mainly involved in high-end manufacturing, rail transit, auto parts and medical devices.
