Schneider Electric builds green smart industrial park in Wuxi

The groundbreaking ceremony for Schneider Electric's green smart industrial park was held on Nov 27 in Wuxi National Hi-tech District, or Wuxi New District.

With a total investment of $150 million, the new park will be constructed in two phases. The first phase is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2025. The park will serve as a super factory that integrates production, sales, and research.

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and industrial automation, has been doing business in Wuxi for over two decades. The company has established its sole electronic capability manufacturing center in China and Wuxi's first certified end-to-end Lighthouse Factory within WND.

Europe has been a crucial source of foreign investment for WND. As of last year, the district was home to 166 registered European enterprises, with a cumulative investment exceeding 15 billion euros ($16.49 billion).

The Wuxi China-Europe Industrial Innovation Zone located in WND focuses on attracting cutting-edge, high-end, and green European projects and developing industries such as intelligent equipment, automotive components, and new energy.
