Cross-Strait talks in Qingdao help forge economic cooperation

The Cross-Strait Economic and Trade Exchange and Cooperation Conference convened in Shinan district, Qingdao of Shandong province on Nov 25.

Themed "Integrated Development, Collaboration, and Mutual Success," the event was aimed at strengthening economic and trade connections across the Strait and attracted over 200 influential figures from the political and business circles across the Strait.

The exhibition held during the conference showcased the successful economic integration between two sides of the Strait and highlighted the achievements of Taiwanese businesses in Qingdao.

"Taiwan businessmen and enterprises have long been supporters, participants, and beneficiaries of the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations," said Zhou Ning, vice-president of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait.

The association is dedicated to refining policies and measures that benefit Taiwanese compatriots and businesses, ensuring their legitimate rights within the legal framework, and helping them be a part of the high-quality development.

More Taiwanese entrepreneurs are expected to focus on and invest in Qingdao in the future, according to Li Zhenghong, president of the Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises on the mainland.
