Xiong'an New Area in North China's Hebei province has absorbed more innovative resources as the new economic zone adheres to innovation-driven development.
Seventeen transformation centers for science and technology achievements were unveiled on Saturday in the area, providing new platforms for technological innovation experiments and applications in cutting-edge fields for major research institutes and academicians nationwide, according to the area's administrative committee.
The centers include an innovation center, an Internet industrial park, a Zhongguancun science park and an enterprise incubator.
They were unveiled during an event titled "Xiong'an journey of hundred research institutes" in Xiong'an on Saturday.
During the event, 120 research institutes showcased 150 cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements, including an intelligent traffic control system and an intelligent interpretation system.
Among them, there were 73 achievements in the field of new-generation information technology, 24 in new materials, 16 in modern life science and biotechnology, 26 in green ecological agriculture, and 11 research reports or white papers, according to a report by local media Hebei Daily.
An alliance for innovation development among research institutes in the area was also formed during the event.
It will help strengthen their cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, talent development and achievement transformation, promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in Xiong'an.
Since the area's establishment in 2017, Xiong'an New Area has always adhered to high quality development driven by innovation and has absorbed and gathered innovative elements and resources, Hebei Daily reported.
