Baita Xincun village and Shanglong village in Qujiang district of Quzhou city were recently named Zhejiang provincial climate models of summer resorts and health and wellness villages, respectively, highlighting their unique climates and rural tourism potential.
Baita Xincun village is a mountain natural oxygen bar with a forest coverage rate of more than 96 percent and contains 28,000 negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter.
In the past three years, there have been no days with a daily average temperature exceeding 30 C in Baita Xincun village from July to August, and only 18 hours recorded an annual average cumulative high temperature equal to or exceeding 35 C.

Shanglong village is a scenic spot with rich natural and cultural landscapes, including Shanglong Temple and Shanglong Temple Ancient Road.
The climate model will help Qujiang district develop ecological agriculture, tourism, health, leisure and other industries. The district has been awarded three summer resorts, one rural oxygen bar, and two health and wellness villages so far.
The climate model is evaluated by experts based on various data sources, including meteorological observation, air quality index, satellite remote sensing, negative oxygen ion observation, and geographic information. It is an authoritative recognition and exploration of high-quality climate ecological resources.
