The 2025 Junior and Cadet Fencing World Championships will take place in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, according to the congress of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on Nov 25.
Supported by the Chinese Fencing Association, Wuxi stood out in competition with countries including Estonia and won the right to host the world championships.

In recent years, the Chinese city has successfully hosted the World Fencing Championships, Asian Fencing Championships, and National Fencing Championships. Fencing has gained a wide popularity among local residents.
Experimental result shows that fencing can train focus, reaction, explosive power, coordination, and flexibility, and improve psychological quality. It is generally helpful in developing a healthy and strong body.
