In the global ranking of the dairy industry, Yili Group ranks fifth, while Mengniu Dairy ranks seventh. Both of these world's top 10 dairy companies have their roots in Hohhot.
Mengniu released its semi-annual financial report for this year. In the first half of the year, its revenue reached 51.12 billion yuan ($7.16 billion), a year-on-year increase of 7.1 percent.
Yili released its third-quarter report for 2023, with the company achieving record-high revenue and net profit. The total revenue for the first three quarters reached 97.4 billion yuan, and the net profit increased by 16.36 percent.
Horinger New Area has recently been approved as one of the 10 national data center clusters, and it is officially included in the national development strategic planning layout. The new area has gathered 26 projects including data centers, supercomputing platforms, and intelligent computing centers from three major telecommunication operators (China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom), major financial institutions, national ministries, and leading companies.
Based on its geographical and climatic advantages, Hohhot firmly grasps the "dual-carbon" strategy and energy security as its main focus. It is actively improving the clean energy industry chain and establishing a headquarters base for energy in North China.
