Following this year's "Double Eleven" shopping spree, the volume of international cargo at the Hangzhou Airport has remained high, with daily cargo exceeding 200 metric tons.

"Outbound goods from the Hangzhou Airport mainly consist of e-commerce items, while inbound goods include general cargo and seafood," said a director at the Hangzhou Airport's logistics company.

The company is currently actively promoting the recovery of the fresh produce business, collaborating with charter operators and freight forwarding companies. On Nov 17, 22 tons of salmon arrived at the airport aboard flight 3V815 from Liège, Belgium. After completing necessary procedures, the cargo was rapidly transferred to major domestic markets using refrigerated trucks.

In addition, during the "Double Eleven" period, enthusiasm for online shopping saw companies such as Cainiao and SF Express increasing their capacity at destination sites in Madrid, Paris, Moscow, Los Angeles, and New York. Major international airlines have also added or increased the frequency of all-cargo flights at Hangzhou Airport.

The newly-operational international cargo terminal at Hangzhou Airport is the first in China to adopt a multi-level structure, being equipped with a range of intelligent devices such as unmanned forklifts, stacker cranes, and customs inspection and sorting lines. This has significantly enhanced the efficiency of parcel sorting and transportation, accelerating customs clearance by 20 percent.
