Jinan delegation visits South Korea, the Philippines

Lei Jie, chairman of the Jinan Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, led a delegation from Jinan to visit South Korea and the Philippines from Nov 1 to 8.

During the visit, the delegation held three special industrial exchange meetings, and conducted in-depth exchanges with mayors, speakers, chambers of commerce, company representatives, as well as the heads of Chinese overseas organizations in sister cities in South Korea and the Philippines.

The delegation also conducted field inspections of various industrial parks and companies, and signed four cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding to advance the implementation of a range of projects.

Through such enhanced communication, all three sides have deepened their cooperation in the fields of culture, industry, and trade, and promoted the establishment of friendly cooperation between Jinan and Carmona in the Philippines.

During the delegation's visit to South Korea, they held the "2023 China (Jinan) - South Korea Health Care Cooperation Exchange Conference" with more than 50 representatives from South Korean government agencies, institutes, and business associations in attendance.

The event featured discussions on investment and cooperation opportunities in the healthcare sector, highlighting three projects in high-end medical aesthetics, biomedicine, and dentistry, which were signed during the conference.

During their visit to the Philippines, the delegation held the "Jinan (Manila) Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference" in collaboration with the Philippine Chambers of Commerce and the Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry to introduce Jinan's advantages in terms of location, industries, and business environment, as well as showcasing new policies on foreign trade and investment attraction.

In addition, the Jinan Municipal Bureau of Commerce signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Philippine Chambers of Commerce, creating a platform for economic and trade exchanges between the two sides.
