Zibo showcases exquisite Chinese art in Veliky Novgorod

Zibo city in East China's Shandong province recently played host to an exhibition featuring Chinese gongbi, (meticulous paintings) and fan art in Veliky Novgorod in Russia.

This exhibition serves to highlight renowned artist Qiu Juan'sgongbiworks and fan art, all of which blend ancient Chinese artistic techniques with Western skills and present a refined fusion of Eastern and Western artistic traditions.

Qiu Juan, who hails from Zibo, specializes in delicately portraying flowers, birds, and figures in her creations. Her lifelong artistic journey had led her to the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Russia in 2019, where she delved into the intricacies of sketch modeling structure. Her masterpiece,Cuju, was showcased in several exhibition halls in Russia in 2023.

The event organizers extended invitations to local art associations and enthusiasts with the aim of fostering a vibrant exchange between artists from both China and Russia.
