Binhu signs cooperation agreement with Korean Standards Association

A delegation representing the Korean Standards Association (KSA), Seoul National University, and entrepreneurs from the South Korean semiconductor industry visited Wuxi's Binhu district on Nov 16.

During the meeting, Li Ping, head of Binhu, emphasized the district's commitment to deepening high-level opening-up, creating a more favorable business environment, and providing robust support for South Korean investors. He expressed hope that more Sino-South Korean cooperative projects will be launched in Binhu.

Officials from the Binhu industry and information technology bureau briefed the delegation on various aspects of Binhu's integrated circuit industry, including its scale, regional distribution, and types of enterprises. The presentation focused on six key industrial advantages of Binhu, which include well-thought-out planning, distinctive industrial parks, and an excellent industrial ecosystem. The delegation was also introduced to Binhu's comprehensive policies in support of the integrated circuit industry.

During their visit, the South Korean delegation toured several locations, including the Liyuan Development Zone, Jiangsu Intellectual Property Services Zone, and Wuxi Research Institute of Applied Technologies of Tsinghua University.

The visit follows a reciprocal economic and trade cooperation exchange in May, where a Binhu delegation visited South Korea. During that trip, Binhu representatives explored collaboration opportunities with the Semiconductor Research Center at Seoul National University.
