2023 BRICS Forum on Partnership on New Industrial Revolution kicks off

The 2023 BRICS Forum on Partnership on New Industrial Revolution was held at the Xiamen International Conference Center on Nov 16.

Discussions regarding areas of mutual interest among the BRICS countries, such as the industrial internet, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, and sustainable green development, were held during the event.

The representatives from each of the countries stated that they would leverage the forum to further deepen cooperation in the industrial space among the BRICS nations and enhance their partnership.

Over the past five years, BRICS countries have been adhering to the BRICS spirit of openness, inclusiveness and win-win cooperation. They have jointly established various collaborative initiatives such as the BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center and the BRICS Future Network Research Institute. Moreover, fruitful outcomes have been achieved in areas such as trade and investment, digital economy, and connectivity.

During the forum, countries such as Brazil and India shared their experiences in the fields of digital economy, artificial intelligence, and industry integration. Russia also expressed its support of China's proposal to establish a mechanism for sustainable industrial exchange and cooperation within the BRICS countries.

To expand its infrastructure construction, Argentina is looking to intensify cooperation with different countries and enterprises.

The forum emphasized that the new industrial revolution partnership benefits the world. Through the "BRICS+" model, countries can participate in partnership-building, collaboratively promote industrial upgrades, enhance international competitiveness, and achieve high-quality economic development.
