As one of the Hefei high-tech zone's key investment projects in the integrated circuits industry, the general-purpose graphics processing unit – or GPU headquarters facility – is home to an artificial intelligence industry and technology center.
There are plans to also build on the site a regional information-driven innovation industry cluster, a data center, an industry adaptation verification center and incubation acceleration platform, as well as a financial service platform.
The upstream and downstream enterprises in the information-driven innovation industry supply chain are expected to combine to boost the overall supply chain, as well as technological research and innovation and product applications.
According to Hu Weiwu, chairman of Loongson Technology Corp, the new center is a milestone for the company's leapfrog development and further boost the AI industry in Anhui province.
