Huangpu unveils 1st metaverse innovation center in Greater Bay Area

Guangzhou's Huangpu district has recently launched the first metaverse innovation center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

This marks a significant step forward for Huangpu in the metaverse industry, adding new impetus to regional technological innovation and industrial upgrading. It is also a milestone in the high-quality growth of Huangpu's digital economy.

Jointly developed by Jiadu Technology Group and the Guangzhou Development District Investment Group, the center's exhibition hall has a floor space of 2,400 square meters. It utilizes core technologies such as digital twins, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality to showcase the technological innovations and industrial chain panorama of the Greater Bay Area.

In addition, the center not only presents a digitalized and intelligent vision of a future city but also provides a one-stop platform for learning, communication, and experience, facilitating the popularization and application of metaverse technology.

In recent years, Huangpu has actively responded to the development of new digital infrastructure and seized opportunities in the development of a metaverse by introducing the first metaverse-specific support policy in the Greater Bay Area, known as the "Metaverse 10 Articles."

Additionally, the district established China's first metaverse research institute and upgraded the Metaverse Digital Cultural Industry Park, covering key digital cultural fields such as copyright design, scenario creation, and cloud computing.

The new center will help Guangzhou become a hub of metaverse industry innovation in the Greater Bay Area and across the nation.
