In recent years, Wuxi National Hi-tech District, or Wuxi New District, in Wuxi, Jiangsu province has been upgrading its administrative services for enterprises in order to become a more attractive investment destination.
According to Shen Qi, director of the big data management and administrative services bureau of WND, the district has significantly lowered barriers to market entry, ensuring that new business registrations are completed within one working day. This streamlined process has not only facilitated the establishment of businesses but has also stimulated market vitality.
During the first three quarters of this year, WND saw a cumulative registration of 19,475 new market entities. Among them, 6,526 were newly established domestic enterprises, representing a year-on-year increase of 8.35 percent.
In a bid to expedite progress on major projects, WND has undertaken reform initiatives. For example, When Jiangsong Technology, a local high-tech enterprise specializing in the development and production of solar panel equipment, initiated the construction of its second-phase project this year, the relevant departments in WND offered support by enabling the commencement of production just four days after obtaining the land certificate.
In the first three quarters of this year, the investment completion rate of six provincial-level major projects in WND reached 186 percent, surpassing the annual target. Additionally, the completion rate of 61 municipal-level major projects stood at 97.6 percent, exceeding the target by 22.6 percentage points.
