Even the cold weather hasn't been able to dampen the enthusiasm of visitors heading to Baotou city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

On Nov 14, a delegation of 30 representatives from travel agencies in Taiwan arrived in Baotou to explore ways of collaborating on the high-quality development of the tourism industry.

The delegation first visited the iconic Saikhantal Urban Grassland in Baotou. This unique natural grassland and its associated wetland landscapes left a deep impression on the delegation members, with one remarking, "I didn't expect the winter grassland to be so beautiful!"

Subsequently, the delegation enjoyed the vast Baotou Yellow River National Cultural Park and the distinctive and lively Baotou Golden Street with ancient city features, as well as experiencing Baotou paper cutting – a national intangible cultural heritage item – at the Donghe District Cultural Center.

The event focused on introducing the region's advantages, ecology and environment, and cultural and folk resources of Baotou's cultural tourism development.

Representatives of the delegation praised Baotou's rich tourism resources, and said they hoped to bring more tourists from the island province to the city.

The delegation then continued to explore such destinations as Ordos and Manzhouli in Inner Mongolia, where they looked at the skiing options, hot springs, historical and cultural attractions, and ethnic customs.

Their goal was to deeply explore Inner Mongolia's tourism resources, and enhance tourism exchanges between the two sides.
