Porcelains from Jingdezhen showcased at the CIIE

Porcelains from Jingdezhen, known as the porcelain capital of China, were displayed at the Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Area during the sixth China International Import Expo, showcasing China’s rich ceramic culture to visitors across the globe.

The city set up a well-designed booth to demonstrate a range of exquisite handcrafted ceramics, including the renowned blue and white porcelain, rice-pattern decorated porcelain, famille-rose porcelain and color-glazed porcelain, as well as a collection of exquisite national gifts and porcelain used at the Dubai World Expo.

By showcasing renowned factories, kilns, and masterpieces, the pavilion unveiled the rich cultural history behind Jingdezhen's exquisite national treasures, allowing domestic and international guests to appreciate the profound legacy and craftsmanship of "Jingdezhen-made" products.

It also helped to facilitate cultural exchanges as well as business and trade cooperation. A total of 18 companies exhibited in the pavilion, with many of the artworks making their debut appearance at the CIIE.

Jingyahuangjia Ceramic Co Ltd, a participant in the CIIE for three consecutive years, brought nearly 1000 hand-painted ceramic exhibits to the pavilion, each piece seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary elements to showcase a unique Chinese traditional artistic style.

The company believes that the participation not only contributes to expanding their overseas market presence, but also further enhancing the recognition and reputation of local enterprises of the ceramics industry.

Zhang Huaya, chairperson of Jingyahuangjia, said her company’s participation in the CIIE is to establish connection with more overseas buyers and find more investment opportunities. She said that it’s also to utilize this international platform to showcase Chinese brands and promote Chinese stories, contributing to the inheritance and development of China’s ceramic art.
