On Nov 7, Guangzhou Port and the Port of Alexandria in Egypt signed a memorandum of understanding engaging in friendly port relations at the International Conference on Smart Transportation in the Middle East and Africa.
This partnership marks a new phase in the relationship between the two sides and is aimed at strengthening economic activities and cooperative exchanges.
As a major domestic container port in China, Guangzhou Port has established friendly relations with several African ports, meaning it now has friendly relations with 55 ports. The new partnership is expected to promote the development of shipping routes, smart port construction, and other areas of collaboration.
