Yantai paper-cutting, which was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2008, captured the attention of 17 foreign visitors during an intangible cultural heritage experience event in the Lidu community in the Baishi subdistrict of Zhifu district, Yantai, on Nov 9.
During the event, the foreign visitors, who hail from countries such as Russia, South Korea, and Japan, joined local residents in appreciating the beauty of oriental paper-cutting, an art form with a rich history spanning thousands of years.
