On Nov 10, the culminating exhibition of original Chinese illustrations was unveiled at the China Media Museum of the Communication University of China in Beijing, having traveled through Zhejiang, Shandong, Henan, Tibet and Sichuan.
Featuring the most renowned and representative illustrations and caricatures created since the 14th century, the exhibition gathers masterpieces from luminaries such as Feng Zikai (1898-1975), Zhang Leping and Zhang Guangyu, as well as works by emerging artists, including Xiong Liang, Jiu’er and Huang Li. Interactive activities like on-site illustration drawing and reading are also available.
A concluding seminar was held after the exhibition’s opening ceremony, inviting guests to reflect upon and discuss the development of original Chinese illustration.
