The inauguration of the World Association for Performing Arts and the Beijing Forum for Symphonic Music will take place at the National Center for the Performing Arts on Nov 13 and 14, according to Zhu Jing, vice-president of the NCPA.
Some 260 guests from 187 art institutions in 30 countries and regions will participate, Zhu said on Nov 7.
"The annual event has taken place online for the past three years, but now we are able to meet up again and communicate," said Zhu.
The Beijing Forum for Symphonic Music began in 2019 with the aim of creating an international platform for exchange in the field of symphonic music.
This year, leaders and symphony orchestras, among them the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic and the Munchner Philharmoniker, as well as scholars from institutions such as the Central Conservatory of Music and the China Conservatory of Music, are expected to take part.
