More than 100 industry experts and leading entrepreneurs from the international trade, modern service and cross-border e-commerce industries gathered for the Innovative Development of Green Trade in Qingdao West Coast New Area – Shanghai Roadshow on Nov 7.
During the event, the West Coast New Area (WCNA), located in Qingdao, a coastal city in Shandong province, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shanghai Services Federation and Shandong Supply Chain Management Association.
Well-known experts from the Development Research Center of the State Council and the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences were invited to the event to share their thoughts on cutting-edge industry trends and provide entrepreneurs in Qingdao and Shanghai with new ideas for innovative development.
The Qingdao WCNA has been expanding institutional opening-up and promoting the innovative development of green trade in recent years.
Over the past five years, the new area's foreign trade had grown at an average annual rate of more than 15 percent to hit 326.05 billion yuan ($44.81 billion) in 2022.
The new area has been approved as a national import trade promotion innovation demonstration zone and a national foreign trade transformation and upgrading base for shipbuilding and marine engineering.
