Seventeen enchanting places in Yangzhou were recently awarded by the provincial ministry of culture and tourism. Among these places is Yanhu village, the only village in Yangzhou where residents are all engaged in the fishing industry.

Thanks to its rich culture and natural beauty, the village is also known as one of the most beautiful fishing villages in China.

Strolling along the lakeside trail, the village will immerse you in its folk traditions and fishing customs against a pristine natural environment. Wildlife like egrets and ducks grace the pond with serene liveliness. The exciting cormorant fishing performances attract visitors to even try their own hand at ancient fishing techniques.

A few steps leftwards runs an agricultural base, informing the public, especially the kids, about fishing and farming culture.
