The 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai on Nov 5.
It attracts 3,400 exhibitors and 394,000 professional visitors, with 551 companies and institutions from Southwest China's Guizhou province forming a trade delegation to participate.
The 6th CIIE attracts 289 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders to exhibit products. It covers an exhibition area of approximately 367,000 square meters. Global top 15 automobile brands, top 10 major industrial electrical enterprises, and top 10 leading medical device companies are among the participants.
Among the trade delegation from Guizhou, there are 186 companies from Guiyang, 80 from Liupanshui, 73 from Zunyi, 64 from Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, 55 from Bijie, 32 from provincial government departments, 22 from Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, 15 from Tongren, 12 from Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, seven from Anshun, and five from Guian New Area.
On the opening day, Guizhou's trade delegation visited the exhibition halls of companies such as General Electric Co, Philips, Varian Medical Systems, Tesla, and Hyundai Motor Group.
During the expo, Guizhou will form investment promotion teams to conduct on-site visits, project attraction, inspection tours, exchanges, and trade negotiations. Guizhou will also sign an agricultural cooperation agreement with Laos' Louang Namtha Province.
Guizhou has participated in the CIIE for the past five years, and the expo has become an important platform for the province in international procurement, investment promotion, cultural exchanges, and open cooperation.
