The first Student (Youth) Games of China opened on Nov 5 in Nanning, capital of South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. Seven athletes from Hechi will showcase their skills in four events: rock climbing, wrestling, diving, and athletics.
One of the athletes, Xiang Erkang, was sent to Hechi Sports School at the age of 13. With his fearlessness and determination, he has stood out in numerous regional championships. Another rising star from the same group at Hechi Sports School is Wu Hongjin. They will represent Hechi in the wrestling competition of the Student (Youth) Games of China.
Meng Fei and Luo Baiying, two young talented athletes from Hechi, have achieved outstanding results in multiple competitions. They are both in excellent form and ready to participate in the judo competition at the Student (Youth) Games.
At just 13 years old, Zeng Peiqi has already made a name for herself in national competitions. She will compete in the open category of the rock-climbing event at the first Student (Youth) Games.
Diver Lan Tianhao, with his hard work and natural talent, has given outstanding performances in multiple national competitions. He will represent Hechi in the diving event at the Student (Youth) Games.
Liao Jiashuai, who will compete in the men's 100-meter, 200-meter, and 4x100-meter relay, came to Hechi Sports School at the age of 16. His coach, Wei Hongzhuang, praises Liao and is confident in his abilities as he prepares for the upcoming competition.
