Changchun to offer subsidy to families with three or more children

To organize and implement the three-child policy and provide supporting measures to promote the long-term balanced development of the population, the Changchun health commission and the Finance Bureau of Changchun jointly launched the implementation subsidy plan for the third children in Changchun on October 27, according to local government.

According to the policy, families with a registered residence in Changchun, Jilin province that have a third child or more will receive a subsidy of 10,000 yuan ($1,366.4).

The plan stipulates that the subsidy will be implemented based on the principle of voluntary application by residents.

Eligible families can submit their applications to the village or community.

The district-level governments will complete the verification of qualifications for the previous year before January 15, and distribute the subsidy to each eligible family before June 30.

The plan also stipulates that some children do not qualify for the subsidies, such as children born before the marriage of remarried couples or legally adopted children.
