As of Oct 30, the total clearance volume at Ganqimaodu Port in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region reached a record 30.04 million metric tons for 2023, a year-on-year increase of 124.96 percent.

Imported coal accounted for 28.91 million tons, up 131.53 percent compared to the same period last year, while imported refined copper powder reached 713,400 tons, up 11.47 percent.

Exported goods totaled 414,000 tons, up 83.62 percent.

This marked a historical high for clearance volumes at the port.

Over the past 31 years, Ganqimaodu Port has integrated itself into the grand vision of jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative.

It has seen continuous progress in various fields, including infrastructure interconnectivity, customs cooperation, platform collaboration, and opening new channels for fruit and vegetable exports.

Driverless cross-border transportation has provided a roadmap for building multi-modal transportation at the port, significantly enhancing its clearance capacity and upgrading the port from having a low annual throughput of less than 10,000 tons to ranking as the largest road port in the country in terms of clearance volume.
