Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang province launched a week-long event from Oct 31 to attract global talent to the city.
The 2023 Ningbo Talent, Science and Technology Week will feature various activities, including a grand ceremony, job fairs, forums, and innovation and venture contests.
During the opening ceremony, the local talent recruitment policy was revealed, and an online service platform catering to talent in the city was launched, along with the establishment of a national-level talent group alliance, the first of its kind in the nation.
A number of job fairs will be held in Ningbo and other areas throughout the week. They will offer over 10,000 jobs and are expected to attract more than 20,000 college students from over 200 universities across the country.
A special focus of the event will be the organization of city walks for jobseekers, allowing them to explore Ningbo's landscapes, culture, and industrial development. The aim is to encourage them to choose Ningbo as their city of residence.
In recent years, Ningbo has been actively expanding its talent pool to support its thriving economy. Each year since 2021, over 200,000 new college students have been welcomed into the city, according to a report recently released by the local government.
