National Village Basketball Association finale concludes in Guizhou

The grand finale of the National Village Basketball Association (VBA) took place on the evening of Oct 28 in Taipan village, Taijiang county, Southwest China's Guizhou province.

After four days of intense competition, Guangdong's Shaxi team defeated Guangdong's Dalang team with a score of 84-78 to claim the championship.

The coach of Shaxi team, Feng Hanyuan, expressed his joy and surprise at the victory, saying, "We have played against Dalang many times in Guangdong before, but we never won. We completely didn't expect to win this time."

He extended his heartfelt gratitude to the VBA in Guizhou for the inspiration and encouragement they provided.

During the award ceremony, the first-place team was presented with Miao silver hats, Guanling yellow cattle, and Taijiang fragrant rice.

The second-place team, Guangdong Dalang, received Miao silver necklaces, Xishui goats, and Leishan tea. The third and fourth-place teams also received intangible cultural heritage products, such as embroidery.
