The Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) is holding campus job fairs at two key universities in Northwest China – Xi'an Jiaotong University and Lanzhou University, from Oct 25 to 27.

The job fairs are meant to further expand the zone's talent recruitment channels, target more talented college graduates for key industries suffering from talent shortages, and help graduates find suitable employment.

Nearly 20 prominent local enterprises, including VOYAH, Dongfeng M-Hero, and Lotus, have sent representatives to the fairs, providing nearly 1,000 high-salary positions spanning the fields of vehicle engineering, mechanical materials, industrial design, software development, AI, finance and marketing, with the highest annual salary reaching 400,000 yuan ($55,720).

WEDZ's 10 golden policies for talent and other incentives for working or starting businesses in the zone are being promoted. Corporate representatives are also explaining their companies' culture, position requirements, and welfare systems to students face-to-face.

House purchasing subsidies ranging from 30,000 yuan to 150,000 yuan, as well as vehicle subsidies of up to 10,000 yuan will be granted to college graduates willing to work in the zone. A total of 6,000 high-quality talent apartments have been built for newcomers, who will also enjoy rent reductions or free dwellings for their first three years working in the zone.

Those who have been selected as Auto Valley Talents or Young Entrepreneurs will also receive a maximum of 300,000 yuan in financial support for entrepreneurship.
