The inaugural Yuandao Sino-German Conference on Jointly Promoting Green Development was officially launched in the Qingdao Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Qingdao FTZ) on Oct 21.
Themed "Sino-German Cooperation for Green Development and Win-Win Outcomes", the conference aimed to facilitate discussions and collaborations between China and Germany in the field of sustainable development.
The conference saw the participation of over 30 Chinese and German experts, as well as representatives from more than 100 renowned enterprises from both countries, all of whom engaged in discussions revolving around green production, green life, and ecological environment.
During the event, the attendees shared their valuable experiences and exchanged thoughts on future trends in green and low-carbon development, as well as explored potential areas of cooperation in sustainable development between China and Germany.
They also expressed optimism regarding the future of Sino-German collaboration, and underscored the common challenges and immense opportunities for collaboration in areas like energy efficiency enhancement, clean energy utilization, waste treatment, green manufacturing, and water resource management.
The event also saw the launch of the White Paper on the Green Index System for Sustainable Development of Sino-German Ecopark. The document is the first of its kind for an international industrial park in China and pertains to the construction and management of the park over the past 10 years.
